Man Strangled In Compton, Police Say
A man in his 60s was strangled in Compton early Saturday morning, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

COMPTON, CA — A man in his 60s was strangled in Compton early Saturday morning, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
Deputies and county fire department personnel responded at 12:50 a.m. to a call of a person down in the area of South Gibson Avenue and East Rose Street and located the victim, according to sheriff's Deputy Michelle Sanchez.
The victim -- whose name will be released pending notification of kin - - was pronounced dead at the scene, Sanchez said.
