South Gate Mayor Maria Davila Tied into $350,000 Bribery Scandal

Maywood Mayor Eddie De La Riva is facing a 15 count complaint based on a $350,000 bribe that was sought in exchange for a Cannabis testing lab permit. De La Riva is an alternate for Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon for the LA County Democratic Party and both seem to be very close friends. South Gate Mayor Maria Davila also has a close relationship with Rendon and De La Riva and has been under fire from corruption allegations of her own.

There is a click of elected officials in the SELA area known as the "Rendon Mafia" that Maria Davila and Eddie De La Riva are a part of. These individuals are said to uphold and execute projects in the 63rd Assembly District. The biggest question is if they are connected at all.
