Assistant City Manager Facing Workplace Discrimination Allegation
The accusation comes from one of Hilary Straus' colleagues from his past tenure at the city of Hanford, where he worked before coming to South Pasadena.

A colleague from the past of Assistant City Manager Hilary Straus recently accused Straus of "aggressive and hostile" behavior that equated workplace discrimination and retaliation while he was the city manager of Hanford, according to a story in the Pasadena Star-News.
Mary Lindsay, Straus' then-deputy city manager in Hanford, claims in a February lawsuit that Straus harassed and discriminated against female colleagues and that she was fired after filing several complaints, the Star-News reports.
Straus was hired as South Pasadena's assistant city manager in September of 2012.
