Mark your calendars: The original 1978 classic film Halloween, filmed in South Pasadena and directed by John Carpenter, in whose honor the South Pasadena City Council recently declared Oct. 31 John Carpenter Night, will be screened on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m., in the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room.
