Juve, Dog That Inspired ‘Bite This Book,’ Dies
South Pasadena dog man Lony Ruhmann's Australian mix is put to sleep.
Almost exactly five months after the publication of his “dog book”—a book for dogs rather than about dogs, that is—dog lover, filmmaker and South Pas resident Lony Ruhmann, 57, is in the news again.
This time, the occasion is sad: Juve (pronounced Hoo’ vee) the Australian mix inspiration behind Ruhmann’s book, titled “Bite This Book,” was put to sleep this past Saturday, according to a story in Pasadena Star-News.
