Pedestrian Fatality Shuts Down 10 Freeway For Hours
A person walking on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Alhambra was struck and killed overnight.
ALHAMBRA, CA — A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Alhambra, authorities said.
The fatality was reported at 3:53 a.m. on the eastbound San Bernardino Freeway just east of Atlantic Boulevard, California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, Polizzi said.

The identity, gender and age of the pedestrian and whether they had gotten out of a vehicle were not immediately available.
The CHP issued a SigAlert about 3:45 a.m. shutting down all lanes of the eastbound 10 Freeway just east of Atlantic Boulevard and the Fremont Avenue onramp. The Express Lanes were reopened at 4:20 a.m. The remaining lanes were reopened about three hours later, the CHP reported.
