Shakespeare in the Park Returns to SoPas Soon

Shakespeare by the Sea Presents "Cymbeline" in Garfield Park Aug. 5, 2016

Shakespeare by the Sea will present William Shakespeare's "Cymbeline" Friday, August 5 at 7 p.m. in Garfield Park.

Directed by Cylan Brown, "Cymbeline" is an action-adventure, fairytale, epic romantic fantasy filled with magical potions, dastardly villains, ghosts, gods and lost princes.

The cast of characters includes: Cloten (B.J. Allman); Caius Lucius/Frenchman (Carlos Campos); Posthumous (Christopher Dietrick); Guiderius (Iyan Evans); Cornelius/British Captain (Andy Kallok); Arviragus/Others (Ryan Knight); Queen (Andria Kozica); Cymbeline (Steve Humphreys); Pisanio (Greg Prusiewicz); Philario/Belarius/Lord/Captain (Michael Ring); Helen/Roman Captain (Olivia Schlueter-Corey); Imogen (Stacy Snyder) and Iachimo (Dorian Tayler).

Beach chairs - (low rise in consideration of other patrons)

$Money$ - for $5 raffle tickets and donations

RAFFLE PRIZE: 5 Day Hawaiian Vacation - this year's winner and a guest will be swept off to the Hawaiian island of their choice for a 4-night stay in a 4-star motel, with airfare and car rental included.

Admission is free (suggested $10 per person donation).

SBTS at Garfield Park is a popular "Shakespeare in the park" summer event in South Pasadena. The theatre company relies on donations and local sponsors to help cover their touring and production costs.
