RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY
• Dec. 13, 5 p.m. to Dec. 14, 7 a.m., 1100 block of Huntington (garage). Suspect(s) gains entry into secured garage area of complex and enters victim’s open garage. Suspect(s) then enters victim’s unlocked vehicle taking items. LOSS: Cash, tools, sunglasses and remote control.
ROBBERY
• Dec. 13, 4:20 p.m., 2100 block of Hanscom. Victim is inside home when suspect enters victim’s garage through side gate. Suspect opens garage door and attempts to take loss from ceiling. Victim returns to garage and confronts suspect. Victim wrestles with suspect and throws suspect into a bush. Suspect stands up and runs away. LOSS: None; attempt to rob bicycle. SUSPECT VEHICLE: ‘90’s, White, Ford Ranger with a toolbox on the side. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, 45-50 years, 509, 200, brown eyes, black hair with gray on the side, day growth of facial hair, wearing a khaki jacket, black shirt and blue jeans.
POSSESSION/UNDER OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
• Dec. 11, 12:36 a.m., Arroyo/Columbia. Officers contacts suspects, who are walking on the street acting suspiciously. Suspects are found to have outstanding warrants and are in possession of a controlled substance. Suspects are also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, Hispanic, 54 years, Pasadena. S2 – Female, Hispanic, 48 years, Pasadena.
DRUNK IN PUBLIC
• Dec. 15, 7:20 p.m., 1500 block of Fremont. Officers respond to a subject lying on the ground. Officers locate suspect who is found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 58 years, South Pasadena.
DUI
• Dec. 16, 3 a.m., 100 block of Marmion Way. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, White, 60 years, South Pasadena.
THEFT
• Dec. 17, 5 p.m., 1000 block of Garfield. Suspect comes to victim’s house and solicits for magazine subscriptions. Victim allows suspect inside residence and victim leaves to kitchen for a minute. Suspect takes unattended loss from counter. When victim returns, victim believes he is being scammed and suspect leaves. Victim discovers wallet missing and calls witness (who is a neighbor). Witness sees suspect walking away from victim’s house and confronts suspect. Suspect walks away from witness as officers are called. Officers locate suspect several blocks away and recovers victim’s cash but not wallet. LOSS: Wallet. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, Black, 22 years, Norwalk.
• Dec. 16, 3:30 p.m. to 4 PM, 1000 block of Fremont (post office). Victim places wallet on lobby counter and prepares package for mailing. Suspect(s) takes unattended wallet and leaves. After completing package, victim discovers wallet missing. Wallet is later found outside with cash missing. LOSS: Cash.
• Oct. 8 to Dec. 13, 1400 block of Huntington (Big Lots). Loss Prevention Officers contacts police regarding an embezzlement investigation over a two-month period. S1 (employee) undercharged S2-4. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Female, Hispanic, 26 years, Montrose. S2 – Female, Hispanic, 40 years, Los Angeles. S3 – Male, Hispanic, 24 years, Los Angeles. S4 – Female, Hispanic, 23 years, Los Angeles.
• Dec. 12, 10:30 p.m., 1200 block of Fair Oaks (Pavilions). Suspect enters store with a shoulder and paper bag, and places loss inside paper bag. Suspect then places bottles of liquor in shoulder bag, when employee approaches. Employee sees loss in paper bag and liquor in shoulder bag. Suspect claims he will pay for liquor and employee pulls out cell phone to call the police. Suspect grabs paper bag and exits store without paying for alcohol, leaving behind shoulder bag. LOSS: Food. SUSPECT DESRIPTION: Male, Black, 35 years, wearing a black hat, black sweater and black pants.
• Dec. 1 to Dec. 11, 2100 block of Hanscom. Suspect(s) takes loss from victim’s mailbox. LOSS: Mail.
• Dec. 7, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., 300 block of Monterey. Suspect(s) enters locked storage room by unknown means. LOSS: Tools.
• Nov. 12 to Dec. 2, 1200 block of Blair. Suspect(s) enters victim’s rear yard and takes item. LOSS: Tamping Rammer.
IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD FRAUD/CHECK FRAUD
• Nov. 10 to Dec. 14, 1500 block of Via Del Rey. Suspect(s) gains access to victim’s credit card and makes several unauthorized charges.
• Nov. 27 to Dec. 11, 1100 block of Huntington. Suspect(s) uses victim’s personal information and opens several credit cards. Victim discovers a parcel package that was delivered, but not ordered by victim. On Dec. 10, suspect knocks on victim’s door, inquiring about the package and says delivery was sent to the wrong address. Victim denies knowledge of package and suspect leaves. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, 40-50 years, black short hair, medium build, beard and mustache, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
TRESPASSING
• Dec. 17, 10:15 p.m., 1700 block of Garfield (Ralphs). Suspect is not allowed on property due to prior thefts. Employee sees suspect on property and calls police. Officers arrive and locate suspect on property. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 47 years, Alhambra.
