A wellness treatment that makes you sick.

You are not a machine, you are a human being.

Therapeutic massage is meant to be a wellness treatment. It's when a healthy well balanced massage therapist exchanges his or her energy with a client for an hour or more. The goal is to leave the client feeling much better than they were at the beginning of their session.

Massage is an intimate, lengthy health care treatment.

In knowing this, it is the responsibility of the massage therapist to keep themselves in optimum health. When illness does arise it is in the best ethical interest of the client to not come in contact with a sick therapist. Come on now, there is no proven evidence that a face mask is going to keep your germs from spreading. Did you know there is an actual health care class in how to properly wear a face mask to begin with? Why are you wearing a mask to massage a healthy client when you represent good health?
Like a smokers nicotine, illness hides in the pores of the skin. It's why you find yourself sweating or feeling chills. It's being transferred physically.

A wellness treatment should not make you sick.

The same holds true for a client who is ill. A therapeutic massage only activates more blood flow that can actually amplify contagious illness. There is an unhealthy energy exchange going on. Go home and let nature take it's course. Allow the cleansing to process itself. Therapeutic massage is a fantastic treatment to enhance circulation once you are feeling better. It acts like a multi vitamin to boost your immune system even more.

Creating a mindful healthy environment goes beyond the surface. You can only share with another what you have created for yourself. May it be the very best you can offer in a world that we all share together.
