Contrary to popular belief, we do not live in a sick world. Wellness is still as popular as ever. It’s the balance we need to experience. Attempting to remain de-stressed in these pandemic times can be challenging, but there are many methods of wellness that you can incorporate into your daily routine.
Roll with it. Get yourself a foam roller. Lie down on the floor and roll a foam roller down your back over your shoulder blades. It will stretch out the fascia in your back. Fascia is the connective tissue that attaches to your muscles. This is surely going to help relieve built up tension. Cup your hands around your neck and hold your head upward off the ground as you roll back and forth. Use it on your hamstrings and even your calves before and after a run.
Stretch it out. Reach out and cup your hand to the door frame in your home. Extend your arm out straight and pull forward, feel the stretch in your pectoralis muscle relieving tension. Now, try the other side. Place the heel of your foot on a table while holding onto a chair with one hand if you need to. Tilt your body forward and feel the pull in your leg. Feel the stretch in your hamstrings, it is fantastic.

Think well. No matter how much you do for your body, your thoughts can continue to create stressful knots. This is why it is so important to think well. Be grateful each morning you wake up regardless of what you will read on the morning news. Create an opening for wellness by doing an act of kindness for another.

Shake it. Protein is the boost your metabolism needs. Place a scoop of protein in your blender along with some fresh fruit or veggies and shake it up into a refreshing smoothie. What you put into your body determines your fuel for the day in all your endeavors.
Years from now, we will look back on this pandemic era and say, ‘It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.’ But what we did to remain healthy will determine just how much we contributed in sustaining an essential world.
