Coyotes Spotted In South SF: What To Do If You Come Across One
According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, it can be normal to see wildlife during the day or near humans.
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Coyotes have been spotted in South San Francisco, according to a tweet by the city.
The city tweeted out an undated photo of a coyote walking through a neighborhood. Those who come across a coyote should pick up small children and dogs, slowly back away and make loud noises, according to experts.

According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, it can be normal to see wildlife during the day or near humans. The animals may be searching for food, rearing young or seeking mates and may adapt their behaviors to be more active during the day. Humans can also unwittingly attract wild animals by providing food or other resources.
