California Virtual Academy@ San Mateo students meet in-person to host Holiday Drive benefiting Ronald McDonald House

On Friday, December 11, students from the full-time online charter school students from the California Virtual Academy@ San Mateo came together to for a Community Day event at the San Francisco Ronald McDonald House.

While normally these students engage together virtually, more than 30 decided to gather in-person to meet with the families at the Ronald McDonald House (RMHC) and give out toys, packaged snacks and big holiday greetings!

“I love it when our CAVA students are involved in the community – their generous and giving spirit is infectious,” said Pam Gandy, CAVA Community Day organizer. “We had a great time with the Ronald McDonald families and look forward to more visits in the future.”
