TORREY PINES BANK ANNOUNCES HIRING OF BAY AREA EXECUTIVE FOCUSED ON BUILDING LOCAL BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS

Torrey Pines Bank, the California division of Western Alliance Bank, an affiliate of Western Alliance Bancorporation, is announcing the hiring of Margaret Lowell as Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager in its Oakland office.  Lowell will work closely with businesses to help them achieve their organization’s goals with the help of banking and related financial solutions.

A long-term resident of The Bay Area, Lowell draws on over 25 years of professional experience in lending, credit and risk management, portfolio administration, relationship management, loan structuring, client acquisition, retention and strategic alliances. She has held a number of senior level roles at area financial institutions and specializes in working with key businesses, including accounting, professional/legal; financial services; retail; education; construction/real estate development; residential care; home owner associations; manufacturing; distribution and not-for-profit.

Currently a member of Rotary Club of Walnut Creek, Lowell has been involved with other area philanthropic causes, including: Monument Crisis Center, Contra Costa and Solano County food banks, Shelter Inc., Easter Seals (Board Member San Ramon Valley Chapter 2004-2006), American Cancer Association, Caring Bridge, Donate Life - San Francisco, JDRF- East Bay Chapter.  Because of her sustained support, and role in facilitating creative financing for the Kiwanis Family House, she will be recognized later this month at “An Evening with the Stars of Kiwanis Family House.” The organization has been providing temporary housing and support to more than 25,000 families of ill or injured patients being treated at UC Davis Medical Center and Shriners Hospital over the past 30 years.

Lowell has a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University, and attended Pacific Coast Banking School (in partnership with the Graduate School of Business at the University of Washington) in San Diego.
