VIDEO INTERVIEW: Julianne Moore and Ellen Page On 'Freeheld's Powerful Love Story

Directed by Peter Sollett, “Freeheld” is the true love story of Laurel Hester (Julianne Moore) and Stacie Andree (Ellen Page).

A decorated police detective, Lieutenant Hester never expected that she would be in the throes of a political conspiracy in the last year of her life after being diagnosed with cancer.

We recently caught up with Moore and Page at the San Francisco red carpet premiere of their film to talk about the poignant story of “Freeheld,” and marriage equality.

“Freeheld” is now open in select theaters and everywhere on Oct. 16, 2015.
