The Fox & Hounds in Studio City had half-priced pints and champagne cocktails. Down the street on the other end of Ventura Boulevard, Ye Olde King's Head II were offering $5 Newcastles.

Local Brits celebrated The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new bundle of joy on Tuesday and plan to continue on through the week with specials.

King's Head II held a Pub Quiz about the royals from 8 to 10 p.m. and cheered until 2 a.m.

"We're thrilled of course," said accounts manager Hope Zagha of the Kings Head. "We are having happy hour pub snacks all day long and $5 pint of Newcastle."

Christine Dickson of Studio City said KCAL 9 News came in to Fox & Hounds to interview patrons on the royal birth. She said, "Check it out tonight and see my buddy Danny chatting it up!" (That's also the pub where newscaster Kim Cornell used to work.)
