40 Firefighters Knock Down Colfax Brush Fire

Fire department officials are investigating the cause of a brush fire shortly after noon Friday at 4000 Colfax Ave. in Studio City.

Forty firefighters held the blaze to less than a half-acre, according to Brian Humphrey, an LAFD spokesman.

There were no injuries, no damaged structures and no evacuation, he said.
