Sock And Towel Drive For Unhoused Resisdents Set For Saturday
Prospective congresswoman Aarika Rhodes plans to donate all unused items to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission.
STUDIO CITY, CA — Aarika Rhodes, who is gearing up for a run to represent Studio City, Sherman Oaks and neighboring communities in Congress, will host a sock and towel drive for unhoused residents on February 13. All donations will be given to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, which was founded in 2009 to aid the homeless community.
Unused socks and towels will be collected in front of Creative Ceramics, located at 15116 Ventura Blvd., from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
"The holidays may be over, but giving to those in need is important all year round," Rhodes said in a statement. "We are collecting unused socks and towels for our unhoused community members that will be donated to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, an organization committed to providing homeless services such as showers and meals to people within the San Fernando Valley."
