Assault Suspect Arrested In Studio City After Long Standoff
Police said a man accused of assaulting a woman locked himself inside a Hummer for hours before he was finally taken into custody.
STUDIO CITY, CA — A man was arrested Tuesday morning after barricading himself inside a car in Studio City. The standoff began around 2:30 a.m. in the 12900 block of Valleyheart Drive, after police said they received a call of assault on a woman.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition shortly after officers arrived. ABC7 said the man fled the scene and barricaded himself inside a Hummer on Coldwater Canyon Avenue.
LAPD said the suspect was taken into custody just before 7 a.m. His name wasn't immediately available.
