City Relaxes Street Cleaning No-Parking Law
Residents won't be ticketed for parking on the streets if street cleaning won't be happening as scheduled.

Motorists will be able to park on selected Los Angeles streets without fear of tickets if street-sweepers fail to stick to their usual cleaning schedules, under a system announced Wednesday.
The city has established a website, http://bss.lacity.org, where motorists can see if the scheduled street cleaning will actually occur as posted on no-parking signs. If the cleaning will not occur as scheduled, motorists can safely park their cars along streets where parking is normally banned to make way for the cleaning, Mayor Eric Garcetti said.
Garcetti said the new system is a "common sense" approach.
