Cooling Centers Near Studio City Open This Week
The city and county is reopening various cooling centers for the fall's first heat wave.
STUDIO CITY, CA — Los Angeles will reopen cooling centers across the county as another heat wave looms on the horizon. A heat advisory will be in affect until Thursday for the San Fernando Valley.
Temperatures in Studio City are expected to reach 95 on Monday, 100 degrees Tuesday, 103 degrees Wednesday and 99 degrees Thursday according to the National Weather Service.
Cooling centers will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. until Friday, unless extended further. Space is limited in keeping with coronavirus social distancing guidelines, so you might want to call ahead to confirm availability.
