Judge Orders Katt Williams To Pay Over $200,000 In Damages
Williams' former assistant claimed the comedian punched her at Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City during a dispute.

STUDIO CITY, CA — A Los Angeles judge ordered Katt Williams to pay $209,830 in damages after his assistant accused him of attacking her at Sportsmen's Lodge nearly four years ago. Yadira Torres, who was hired by Williams in 2012, said the comedian punched her and pushed her against a glass door at the Studio City hotel in 2016.
Torres said she "sustained severe injuries to my jaw, head and neck region" in a sworn declaration. In court, she said there was no reason for the attack.
"It's not right for somebody like your boss to physically send you to a hospital," Torres told Judge Michelle Williams Court. "It sucks, it really does."

Torres said Williams hired her in 2012 at $5,000 a month. According to the lawsuit, the two had a dispute over the transportation of luggage at Sportsmen's Lodge in 2016.
According to Torres, Williams grew upset and punched her, then pushed her up against a glass door. Later, she told the judge that she went to Sherman Oaks Hospital after suffering a concussion, stomach pain and bruises.

The former assistant says she still deals with post-traumatic stress disorder, receding from a healthy paralegal who managed 25 people for Kattpack Investments to someone who does seasonal work while suffering from anxiety and depression.
"I'm lucky I'm still here," she told a judge.
At one point, Torres pulled down her mask to show the judge her teeth, claiming they were damaged in the assault. She claimed Williams required her to have extensive dental work, including the addition of porcelains and veneers, to ensure she had an attractive smile while working for him.
