LA Zoo Offers Week Long Summer Camps for Kids
Whether you're in a bind for child care or looking for enrichment opportunities, the zoo offers a fun place for kids.

Looking for a way to keep your kids busy this summer? The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens offers week long Summer Zoo Camps through August 12.
Children are separated by age groups and the theme changes each week.
The camps operate Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The zoo also offers morning and afternoon extended care for working parents.

According to the zoo, "Your child will enjoy making new discoveries every day. Through fun, safe, engaging activities, your campers will trail blaze through the week. This adventure is something your child will never forget."

Pre-K and K -- Apatosaurs to Zebra: Do you know the ABC’s of the animal kingdom? Join us for an alphabetastic week of camp as we let the Zoo’s animal residents (pre-historic to present) guide us from A-Z. Along the way, we’ll investigate what makes these animals awesome, fantastic and unique. *OR* Critter Jam: Can you boogie like bongo? Get funky like flamingo? Animals move in lots of different ways and you can too when you join us at the Zoo! This week we will move like some of our favorite animals and discover why they boogie, get funky, and jam to their own tune.
1st - 3rd Grades -- Outback Adventures: Join us for a week long walkabout in the land down under! From the bush to a billabong, both blokes and sheilas will explore roos, crocs, koalas and all the other awesome Aussie animals and the island continent they call home. No worries mate – it will be big mobs of fun! *OR* Furrific Felines: Are you cat crazy? Can you swim like a tiger? Purr like a kitten, or roar like a lion? Find out how Zoo cats are just like our kitties at home and discover feline fundamentals of the cat’s world.
4th - 6th Grades -- Zoorasic Park: Explore a world of living fossils…at the Los Angeles Zoo! Have a wild week encountering animal ancestors, modern dinosaurs, and plants from more than one million years ago. Come to Zoocamp and uncover the past right here in the present. *OR* Rebel Raptors: Get out your talons and rip into this week of Raptor camp! Whether it’s diving at top speeds to catch prey or building their nests on the edge of a cliff, we’ll discover what makes these feathered raptors the ultimate predators of the sky.
The cost is $280 per week for members and $310 per week for non-members. You may register online.
