LAPD Investigating Death Of Man Found On Red Line Subway Tracks

Los Angeles police are investigating the death of a man found Sunday on the Red Line subway tracks at the Universal City/Studio City stop.

The man's body was discovered around 3:30 p.m. at the subway location of 3901 Lankershim Blvd., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police are investigating the death of a man found Sunday on the Red Line subway tracks at the Universal City/Studio City stop.

The man's body was discovered around 3:30 p.m. at the subway location of 3901 Lankershim Blvd., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

Investigators did not immediately know if a subway train was involved or if the man came into contact with the system's electrified third rail, Humphrey said.

The man's name was withheld pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy will have to determine the exact cause of death.
