Man Falls From Rope Swing, Airlifted Out Of Fryman Canyon Park

STUDIO CITY, CA — A man was taken to a local trauma center after falling off a rope swing near Betty B Dearing Trail in Fryman Canyon Park Friday afternoon.

The incident was reported around 11:25 a.m. Air and response teams from the Los Angeles Fire Department were sent in to help the man, who was seriously injured in the fall.

According to Brian Humphrey of the LAFD, an LAFD Flight paramedic was lowered from a helicopter to stabilize the patient. LAFD later hoisted the man into the helicopter to be taken to a nearby trauma center.
