NoHo Home Launches Homeless Outreach Program In Studio City
The organization will host a weekly drop-in event on Tuesdays, offering food and hygiene services along with more long-term solutions.
STUDIO CITY, CA — The NoHo Home Alliance has started a weekly drop-in program in Studio City, opening up another day for unhoused residents to receive food, mail, housing referrals and more. The North Hollywood location is available for drop-ins Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The drop-in center will be at Unitarian Universalist Church in Studio City from 8:30 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. NoHo Home noted the rise in homelessness in Studio City over the past few years, and decided to move in to make a difference.
"Homelessness has grown, but services have not," Stephanie Jaeger, the founder of NoHo Home, said.

Similar to their North Hollywood site, the new location will use food, clothing, hygiene services and similar necessities to build trust with the community, while working to connect them with mental or physical health services along with housing. After studying the results from previous drop-in events,
"At our drop-in services, we've discovered only 50% of the guests who come to us are already being engaged by the homelessness service system. We're here to interact with that other 50%, with those who are not already in the system and not yet connected to the possibility of housing."
