Shoppers Alert: Purse Snatching at Trader Joe's

The Studio City Residents Association put out a notice to warn residents about a rash of purse snatchings that have occurred recently in the Studio City and Sherman Oaks areas.

The Los Angeles Police Senior Lead Officers have been notified and are on alert in all the local districts.

Here is the notice:

ALERT TO SHOPPERS

Members please be aware, and on the alert, that a shopper's purse was stolen from her shopping cart while shopping at Trader Joes on Ventura Blvd. and Laurel Canyon and her bank accounts were drained in a matter of 15 minutes.   This occurred Wednesday July 31.
