A Thai food eaterie on Moorpark Street was recently closed due to a cockroach infestation, but has since reopened.

STUDIO CITY, CA -- A small restaurant known as having a serene, modern vibe and a menu of Thai favorites like curries and noodle stir-fries, was temporarily closed by the Los Angeles County Public Health Department last month due to a bug infestation, the department said.

The Dish Thai Fusion Cuisine, located on Moorpark Street in Studio City was closed on Jan. 8 after cockroaches were discovered during an inspection, according to the health dept.

It was one of six eateries throughout the county that had their health certificate suspended and was closed between early January and early February, the health dept. said.

Four of the other five restaurants that were shuttered were due to cockroaches and the other was for no hot water. The restaurants are: Tokyo Delve's in North Hollywood; Coco Hut Thai Restaurant in Pacoima; and three Van Nuys eateries: Golden Sky, Fruteria Juice and Quickie Mini Market. Fruteria Juice and Tokyo Delve's were shut due to a lack of hot water; the others were for cockroaches.

All five of the other restaurants re-opened within a week; Tokyo Delve's however, remains closed as of Feb. 11, according to the LA County health dept.'s website.
