Three Car Collision On Southbound 170 Causes Traffic Snarl
All lanes were temporarily stopped while authorities moved the impacted cars to a safer location.
STUDIO CITY, CA — A car accident has snarled traffic along the southbound 170 freeway near Riverside Drive Thursday morning. The accident, which involved three cars, was reported at 9:22 a.m.
California Highway Patrol said a bystander heard the crash from their house. Upon arrival, a CHP officer reported a gray Chevrolet Trailblazer had hit a white working van in the express lane, and that the Chevy was on fire.
All lanes were temporarily stopped while authorities worked to move the cars to a safer location. A tow truck, an ambulance and firefighters responded to the scene.

The cars were successfully moved to the right shoulder, and the lanes were reopened around 9:44 a.m. A live traffic map showed backup from Magnolia Boulevard until Moorpark Avenue.
