The park has been closed for over a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

STUDIO CITY, CA — Universal Studios Hollywood will officially reopen to the public on Friday, April 16, after over a year of closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. Tickets can be bought online beginning April 8, while season and annual pass holders can attend a special park preview on April 15.
“We are incredibly thrilled to finally be able to open Universal Studios Hollywood, return team members to work and welcome guests back to enjoy our amazing rides,” said Karen Irwin, President & COO, Universal Studios Hollywood. “It has been a very challenging year and we are overjoyed to have arrived at this moment.”
Guests will be welcomed back with new attractions, including "The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash!" and "Jurassic World - The Ride." The former features "hyper-realistic" renditions of popular characters from the movie series, while Jurassic World features a 22 foot tall dinosaur to inject spine-tingling thrills into your family's bravest challenger.
