When Pasta To-Go Comes With Toilet Paper, You Know It's Serious
One San Fernando Valley restaurant is offering "comfort" meals for pick-up or delivery, with a free roll of T.P. tossed in for "levity."
STUDIO CITY, CA — As Californians grapple to adjust to the new coronavirus-related restrictions, advisories, school and business closings, plus stores' rampant and frustrating shortage of toilet paper, one restaurant in Studio City aims to alleviate families' stress with comfort meals for pick up and delivery — coupled with a freebie roll of T.P.
The landmark Vitello's is closed for in-house dining during the COVID-19 crisis, but is accepting take-out orders for its family-sized, Italian meals including spaghetti, lasagna (classic or veggie), eggplant parmesan, spinach ricotta ravioli and Caesar salad. The dishes are available in half-sized trays, that serve 10 to 12, or full trays that serve 20 to 24.
"To bring a little levity to the situation, Vitello’s will add a free roll of toilet paper to each order," said a spokesperson for the restaurant. "One less reason to leave home!"
