5 Hospitalized Following Bus, Car Crash In Union City
Another 5 people were treated at the scene by paramedics.
UNION CITY, CA — An AC Transit bus and a car collided in Union City early Tuesday, sending five injured people to the hospital. Another five people were checked out by paramedics, but declined to be transported to the hospital. An update on their conditions is not readily available.
The crash happened at 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Decoto and Alvarado-Niles roads. The Alameda County Fire Department responded in force, sending Battalion 7, Truck 31, Engine 32 and Engine 33 to the scene.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation by the Union City Police Department and Alameda County Sheriffs Office. A parked car was also hit and damaged.
