Deadly Crash In Union City

UNION CITY, CA — A motorcyclist died Friday when he crashed into a parked vehicle in the area of 13th and I streets. His name is not immediately available.

The police department reports that officers noticed the rider wasn't wearing a helmet. According to a release from police, "The rider noticed officers and fled through Kennedy Park at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to turn their vehicle around and lost sight of the motorcyclist."

When officers checked the area, they came upon the crash. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead. Police report that the crashed motorcycle had been reported stolen.
