Decoto Road Reopens After Water Main Repaired
It took 22 hours from the time the break was discovered until it was fully repaired.
UNION CITY, CA — Repairs are finished on a water main break and the damage it caused on Decoto Road in Union City, according to the police department.
The break was first spotted around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, on the southbound side of Decoto Road between Depot Road and 10th Street.
Crews from both the Alameda County Water District (ACWD) and Union City Public Works began repairs immediately and worked through the night in the hope of reopening the road by the morning commute. However, repairs lasted nearly into the evening commute.

The police department announced shortly before 3:30 p.m. Friday that the road was completely open.
