Elderly Union City Man Killed Crossing The Street In Fremont
The man was hit by a car Sunday morning as he crossed Decoto Road.
FREMONT, CA — An 89-year-old Union City man died in a collision with a vehicle Sunday morning in Fremont, police said today.
Claudio Villasenor was struck at 10:35 a.m. in the area of Decoto Road and Fremont Boulevard.
Police said Villasenor was crossing Decoto Road from north to south when he was struck by a Chevrolet sedan traveling west and driven by a 25-year-old man.

The 25-year-old stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said no arrests have been made and neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to have played a role in the fatality.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
