Funeral Services for James Logan High Graduate

Announcement submitted by New Haven Unified School District:

It is with great sadness that we report that Mally Balumbu, an alumnus of 1998, passed away suddenly from an asthma attack. He is one of eleven brothers and sisters who attended the New Haven Unified School District and James Logan High School.

Mally attended Pioneer, Alvarado Middle and graduated from Logan in 1998. He was captain of the James Logan Track and Field Team, was a very popular student, and a great leader on campus. The Balumbu Family were very dedicated and involved in the schools while their children attended the New Haven Unified School District.

The family members were involved in many sports and school activities and are still a huge positive presence in the community. Below is information for the services for Mally to celebrate his great life. He is married to Maricar and has 2 beautiful children.

Viewing: Friday, Oct. 23, 6:00-9:00 PM at the Chapel of the Chimes32992 Mission Blvd. in Hayward.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 2411:00 AM at the Palma Ceia Baptist Church28605 Rufus Road in Hayward.
Burial: Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. in Hayward.
Celebration Gathering After the Burial: Saint Bernard Parish Until 11:00 PM at 1620 62nd Ave. in Oakland.
