Happy Mother's Day From Stephanie Parnala

"When I got diagnosed with congestive heart failure, she was there to comfort me."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Stephanie Parnala's letter to her mom:

I'm writing this letter so I can say thanks to my mom, Carolyn Barahona. She's always been there for me whenever I need her. We always have our ups and downs because we are both stubborn.

I’d like pay tribute to her for being there with me every time I need go to the hospital. When I got diagnosed with congestive heart failure, she was there to comfort me. I came back to California in 2014 to stay with her because my health was bad. She been there when I can't go anywhere because I have hard times breathing a lot due to my heart.

She's always helping everyone and goes out of her way to do for people. Everyone calls her Mom and loves her. She never does anything for herself. She's the best mom anyone can ask for.
