A 69-year-old San Jose woman was killed in a solo crash on Interstate Highway 880 in San Leandro on Sunday afternoon has been identified as Diana Poteete.
She was driving south on Highway 880 just before 3 p.m. when her 2007 Toyota Yaris left the road near Lewelling Boulevard for an unknown reason, CHP officials said.
The car hit a guardrail, flipped onto its roof and slid down the off-ramp nearly to the bottom. Poteete was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley but died there just after 4 p.m.
