Is a Major Movie Set to Film in the East Bay?

Are Steve Martin, Diane Keaton and Kimberly Williams-Paisley heading to the East Bay? Depends on who you ask.

San Leandro Deputy City Manager Eric Englebart disputes an online report that Father of the Bride III is set to film in San Leandro.

Steve Martin, Diane Keaton and Kimberly Williams-Paisley starred in the first two movies, released in 1991 and 1995.

"We’ve heard the rumor but – so far, at least - the production team has not yet approached the City, nor has any film permit application yet been submitted," Engelbart told Patch. "Rest assured if they do approach the City, we look forward to working with them to make the process as smooth as possible."
