Man Killed In Union City Crash ID'd
He died Tuesday morning in a collision between his vehicle and a box truck.

UNION CITY, CA — A man who was killed in a collision between a passenger vehicle and a box truck in Union City early Tuesday morning was identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau today as 37-year-old Mansoor Jan of Dublin.
Union City police said Jan was the driver of the passenger vehicle that collided with the box truck at the intersection of Whipple Road and Dyer Street at 4:21 a.m. Tuesday.
They said Jan was taken to a hospital after the collision and died there.

The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to police.
Jan's death prompted an outpouring of messages that were posted on Facebook.
One woman wrote, "Can't believe this is true! MJ was loved by so many and we all had wonderful memories of him!"

She said, "May his sweet soul rest in the highest of heavens and may God give all of his family, friends and loved ones the patience to make it through this horrible time."
Another person wrote, "Heartbreaking. May god bless his beautiful kind soul and bring ease to the heart of his loved ones."
