No-Cost Home Energy Upgrades - 6 weeks to upgrade your home at no cost

For only 6 weeks this summer, Rising Sun Energy Center will be providing no-cost water and energy upgrades to residents of Union City and Newark. This no-cost service is made possible through the city of Union City and PG&E.

Green House Calls are available to both homeowners and renters. During a 1-hour Green House Call, an Energy Specialist will do a full home energy and water assessment and provide the following installs to help lower your utility bills:

• CFL and LED lightbulbs (indoor and outdoor lighting), faucet aerators, shower heads, retractable clothes lines, hot water heater pipe wrap, toilet leak detection tests, checking attic insulation and leaving behind a power strip and LED night light. 

Energy Specialists will also go over energy and water savings tips, and other programs the resident may qualify for.
