NorCal Drivers: Beware of Black Ice
Drivers should slow down and use caution to avoid accidents.

BAY AREA, CA -- The National Weather Service is warning Bay Area drivers that roadways could be coated with black ice this morning. Black ice is a thin, transparent coating of frozen water that can cause slippery driving conditions.
Commuters may encounter black ice through 9 a.m., according to the weather agency.
Black ice is typically difficult to spot because it blends in with the road.
