Oakland Fire Victim From Hayward
The first of dozens of names of fire victims were released Sunday, including a victim from Hayward.

OAKLAND, CA — The heartbreaking news has started to trickle out to the public — official notifications have begun of deaths following the devastating Oakland warehouse fire.
Among the victims: Brandon Chase Wittenauer, 32, Hayward.
Wittenauer was one of eight victims identified Sunday by the coroner's bureau of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, although only seven names were released because one of the victims is a minor.

Wittenauer is one of 33 victims recovered from the deadliest fire in Oakland's history. The number of fatalities could grow exponentially, as less than half of the charred rubble in Oakland has been searched.
