Save Ramirez Farm and Peterson Farmhouse; Say NO to Valle
Ramirez Farm which grows pesticide-free produce, a horse ranch and Alameda Creek
There is a CALTRANS 35-acre vacant parcel next to Quarry Lakes. Caltrans is leasing this public land to private parties. The site includes: a national cultural asset; oldest farmhouse in Fremont/Union City, Ramirez Farm which grows pesticide-free produce, a horse ranch and Alameda Creek.
The $300M East West connector will generate 50,000+ daily trips from I-880 @ Decoto through Ramirez Farm to Mission Blvd @ 7th Street. Supervisor Valle asked for $125M in Measure BB funds to supplement the $300M East West Connector project. This project is underfunded and he is now asking Union City to build the road. I think $300M could be used to improve your quality of life including open spaces and parks for your children.
Valle also supported Measure KK to go against the voters that wish to protect open space. He has not made progress in negotiating land acquisition with any Masonic Home Development. With Valle, we have not made any progress with open space, trails and sustainable development.
