Swords and Guns: Union City Arrest
After someone was threatened with a sword, police seized a semiautomatic handgun, shotgun, carbine rifle, swords, and knives.
UNION CITY, CA — A person threatened with a sword in Union City.
It happened in the area of Decoto and Perry roads last month, in a case that involves both firearms and other weapons.
In late February, officers responded to a report of a victim with a threatened with a sword.

According to Union City Police, "The suspect was also the subject of an on-going investigation involving allegations of threatening victims with firearms and other weapons."
Officers who responded to the report took a man into custody.

As a result, police said, "a gun violence restraining order was sought and granted, in addition to a search warrant authored by Officer Ayala to seize firearms and weapons."
Police "seized a semiautomatic handgun, shotgun, carbine rifle, numerous swords and knives, and ammunition from the suspect's residence," according to Union City Police.
The suspect was arrested.
