1. We spend a greater percentage of our District's budget on administration than any district in the County except Oakland. Why? Why are their more administrators in this District than 10 years ago when there are fewer students and teachers? Did you know the Superintendent makes more than the Vice President of the United States? That there are 4 administrators in the District office that make more than the Governor? Do you know how much their raises are every year? Why don't you email the NHUSD office and ask for the contracts of the top 4 administrators.
2. We spend a smaller percentage of our District's budget on teachers than almost every district in the County. Why

3. The District likes to claim our teachers are the highest paid in the county. Well, actually the teachers who work out of the County office make much more.
When you add our salary, District's contributions to our health care (nothing) and our years to the top of the salary schedule, (the worst in the County) you get an aggregate compensation picture that is much different. In fact our total compensation is about average compared to the rest of the County.

We need a new school board that will believe that smaller classes are more important that administrators in the District office. That increasing the number of administrators in the face of declining enrollment and fewer teachers is educationally inappropriate.
