"Fireworks sales in Union City are made possible through a partnership between community nonprofit organizations and licensed fireworks vendors," Union City Communications Coordinator Emma Tozer said in a blog post. - Only 'safe and sane' fireworks are allowed in the City of Union City
- They can only be used from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. between July 1-3 and on July 4 from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- They are only allowed on private property. They are not allowed on sidewalks, in streets, and in parks.
- Make sure to keep pets indoors when using fireworks. Do not point fireworks toward people, and maintain a safe distance after lighting.
- Soak used and unused fireworks in water before discarding.
