Union City Heat Wave: Here's When It Hits 88 Degrees
The East Bay is about to get hot. Like, summertime hot!

Temperatures around the East Bay will pick up drastically Wednesday, possibly breaking previous records, according to the National Weather Service.
Daytime temperatures could potentially reach between 90 and 100 degree, about 15 to 20 degrees hotter than normal.
Here's a sampling of East Bay temperatures forecast for Wednesday:
- Alameda: 82
- Albany: 81
- Berkeley: 89
- Castro Valley: 91
- Fremont: 87
- Newark: 86
- Piedmont: 84
- Rockridge: 92
- San Leandro: 88
- Union City: 88
The warm weather is due to building high pressure over the region and a developing offshore flow, according to weather service officials.
After Wednesday, a cooling trend will take hold, with rain a possibility on Friday and Saturday.
