Union City Police Arrest Probationer
Police say a loaded .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun was recovered.

UNION CITY, CA — A man on probation was arrested in Union City Monday night, accused of being in possession of a gun.
The arrest happened in the area of Mission Boulevard and E Street.
According to a police report, K9 Officer Olson was patrolling the area when he spotted three men standing in a parking lot. The officer knew that the trio was on probation and parole.

According to the report, "As Officer Olson went to talk to the group, one subject bent down, discarded something, and attempted to walk away, but was eventually detained. Officer Olson searched the area where the subject walked from and recovered a loaded .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun."
He was arrested and the gun, pictured above, seized.
