UNION CITY, CA — The Union City Police Department held its annual Shop-With-A-Cop event at Walmart on Saturday.

Families were taken on shopping sprees to buy holiday gifts using money donated to the program. Walmart manager Chalone Lucas and the store also donated bikes to some children, and a turkey for each family.

Police officers Cota, Fraga, Fong, Olson, Noyd-LaStrape, and Ziya participated, along with UCPD Explorers. While the officers and Explorers were shopping with some families, others sipped hot apple cider and ate breakfast pastries while creating ornaments for their trees.
