Police say transients noticed a suspicious device on Venice Beach and the bomb squad is called out.

The Los Angeles Police Department's bomb squad was called out to Venice Beach on Tuesday night after transients noticed a suspicious device and flagged down police, officials said.
Police were notified about 9:15 p.m. of the suspicious device on the beach near Ocean Front Walk and Sunset Avenue and the area was cleared of pedestrians and residents as the bomb squad was called out, said Lt. Marco Munoz of the LAPD's Pacific Divsion.
"We're waiting to see what happened," Munoz said about 11:15 p.m.
